For students around the world, life seems a bit upside down right now.  There have been so many changes.  While it might be difficult to see what things will look like in the future, it will get better.  So what will your “better” look like?  Here is a Vision Board Activity to help you think about how you would like things to be and to remind you that things will get better.

There are different ways to stay calm like yoga, meditation, deep breathing or even blowing bubbles.  In this activity you will focus on the present moment by identifying something that helps you calm down. You will also get a chance to practice deep breathing with Lester.

Nature is a wonderful place to go and relax and enjoy the beauty around us.  For this activity, go out in your backyard or somewhere close to home that is ok with your parents and find a nice tree to sit under. Once you are settled, just breathe in the fresh air and look around at everything.  Now you are ready to do the FIVE SENSES ACTIVITY:

Acts of Kindness and small gestures can bring joy to others and by helping others, we too benefit in these stressful times.  In fact, by thinking about and doing things to help others, we can reduce our own stress.

Mindfulness, simply put, means paying attention to the present moment. It means taking a step back and noticing the world around you, as well as noticing your inner experiences like thoughts and feelings. With practice, mindfulness can help adults and children cope with problems such as stress, anxiety, and ADHD.
