Katelynn Lynch, a grade eight student at Millerton Community school has advanced to the regional level of the Maritime idol competition. Kindergarten Perfect Attendance

Perfect AttendancePerfect AttendanceOur Kindergarten class had an amazing month. The entire class had perfect attendance. January is a hard month on attendance; colds and flus can make it hard for a student to come to school everyday, That is why it is so special when an entire class is able to achieve this. Way to go Kindergarten.

Update on H1N1

Students will be bringing home a letter that outlines the latest news on the vaccine program for the H1N1 Flu. A copy of the letter is also available on the document page of this website. If you have any further concerns regarding the school based vaccination program please do not hesitate to contact the school and we will do our best to answer your questions.

Bears Capture Tier 2 Soccer Title

    The Middle School Soccer team kept their undefeated season alive at the 2009 Jamboree.  They defeated Tabusintac in the semi-final  5-3 on their way to the final against Burnt Church.  The Bears jumped out to an early lead and never looked back against Tabusintac keeping a two goal advantage throughout the duration of the match.  Millerton continued their winning ways with a convincing 6-3 victory over Burnt Church in the final. 

Remembrance Service

The Millerton School will have a Remembrance Service on Monday November the 9th at 8:45. The service will take place in the cafeteria and feature Musical selections from our Band and Elementary Choir. The service will celebrate and honour the Brave Canadians who have served our country during times of war and peace. We are pleased to share this celebration with both our community veterans and peace keepers.

Bears tie Eagles

                         

   On Tuesday the 13th the Millerton Bears Elementary Soccer team travelled to Blackville for a regular season game against the Golden Eagles. The Bears were ferocious as they protected their net and they used great teamwork to mount attacks on Blackville's eagle's nest, but the game ended in a tie.
