Sorry for the late post this week Grade 7.

Hopefully everyone had a chance to try last week's material.

The next topic is equations and preservation of equality.

Here are some questions to try.

Sorry for the late post Grade 6.

I've attached the answers for last weeks lessons.

The next section deals with probability.  Here are some questions you can try.

Sorry for the late posting Grade 5.

I've attached the answers for last weeks lessons from the textbook and workbook.

The next topic deals with probability.  Here are some questions you can try.

The next topic deals with probability which we have done in the past so hopefully everyone has a general idea of the concept.

The questions from the text in Unit 7.3 are a good start.

Textbook Unit 7.3 Page 411 #3-15

I've also attached a Home Learning Map for Grade 8 math.  It's just a general schedule that we will follow to finish the material we would have covered in class.  It also has links on it to lessons that may help you better understand some material you may be struggling with.  I will also post it under the "Documents" section for quick access.

Stay safe Grade 8!

There are two lessons in the Grade 7 workbook that are a good review for the topic of probability.

Workbook Unit 7.5 Page 164

Workbook Unit 7.6 Page 167

I have also attached a "Home Learning Map" for the material that we would have covered during the rest of this school year. It will also be posted under the "Documents" tab on this page. It's divided up into topics that we would have covered and there are weblinks to lessons that will better help you understand the material if you're struggling with some topics.

There is another unit in the textbook and workbook that you can look at and attempt that also involves fractions, decimals, and percents.

Textbook Unit 5 Lesson 8  Page 192 #1-11

Workbook Unit 5 Lesson 8  Page 70

Try the questions you understand and don't stress about the material you may not understand.

I've also posted a Home Learning Map for the material we will cover for the rest of the school year.

It's in the "Documents" tab and labeled "Home Learning Map Grade 6".  It contains links that can help better explain some of the material we are working on that you don't understand.

Stay safe Grade 6!

I've attached the answer key for Workbook Unit 5 Lesson 2 from last week.

The next section moves from fractions into decimals.  There's two assignments that you can try to get an understanding of how fractions are related to decimals.

Textbook Unit 5 Lesson 4  Page 178 #1-11

If you can't figure out some of the questions don't get stressed out about them.  Try to do the questions that you can, that's all you can ask for.

Good luck with them.

Stay safe Grade 5 and enjoy the nice weather!

I've attached a quiz, along with the answers, that you can try out to get an idea of how well you are understanding rates.

Hopefully you had a chance to try out the questions last week on sample space.  The next section builds on sample space and deals with probability.

A key concept to remember with this section is that probability can be expressed as a ratio, a fraction, and a percent.

Textbook Unit 7.5 Page 282 #1-8

Don't get hung up on some of the questions if you don't understand them.  We'll be revisiting this material in the fall to get caught up.  Again, don't get stressed about the material.

Here are two links that can help you better understand probability.

I've attached the answers for the questions from the textbook Unit 5 Lesson 7 #1-13.

I've also added a link to an online lesson and activity that deals with percents.

It's always a good idea to practice your multiplication facts and don't forget to try some Dreambox lessons if you get a chance.

I've attached the answers for last weeks questions from the textbook.  The questions were from Unit 5 Lesson 2 #1-12.

There is a lesson from the workbook that goes along with the questions from last week.

Workbook Unit 5 Lesson 2 Page 70.

A copy of the workbook is located under the documents tab.

Don't forget to keep practicing those multiplication facts and trying out some of the lessons on Dreambox.

Stay safe Grade 5 and enjoy the nice weather.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again soon so we can play some multiplication bingo.

Don't forget to try some lessons on Dreambox when you get a chance also.

Have a good week everyone!

I've attached an answer sheet for last week's questions on Workbook Unit 5.7 if you'd like to correct them.

The remainder of the questions for the Textbook Unit 5.9 Page 298 #11-20 would be a good review on rates.

I'll send out a short quiz with the answers on rates so you can check your progress.

Stay safe and enyoy the Spring!

Hopefully everyone had a chance to try the test last week and you were successful in understanding the content.

The next section deals with probability.  Before we get into that section I'll give you a few questions about sample space, which is where probability begins.

Textbook Unit 7.6  Tree Diagrams

This section will demonstrate how possible outcomes are developed which then allows us to determine probability.

The questions in the unit should hopefully help you understand sample space.

Textbook Unit 7.6 Page 287 #1-5.

Good luck with them.  Don't stress about the material if you don't completely understand it.  We'll go over anything we've missed in September.

Stay safe and enjoy the spring weather.

I've attached the answers for the Workbook questions from last week, Unit 5 Lesson 7 if you'd like to correct them.

There are a few questions that you can finish up from the textbook if you haven't already finished them

Textbook Unit 5 Lesson 7 Page 189 #11-13.

I put the answers up next week for all the textbook questions for Unit 5 Lesson 7.

Again, don't stress about questions you may have difficulty with or don't understand.  We'll be going over this material again in September.

Stay safe and have fun!
