Hello Grade 8! Hope everyone is doing well!

Hopefully you got a chance to try the questions from last week.

I've attached the workbook that we use along with our textbook.

Unit 5.9 Page #124 goes along well with the questions last week on rates.

Give it a try if you can.  Don't stress about parts you don't understand.  I'll send out an answer sheet if you'd like to check your answers.

Take care and stay safe.  And enjoy the nice spring weather!

Hello Grade 7!  Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Hopefully you got a chance to try the questions from last week as a review.  I've attached the test that we were going to write along with the answers.

Give it try as a challenge if you can this week.

Please don't get stressed about any of this math material.  Any topics that we missed this spring we will go over them again when we get back to school so please don't worry about that.  Staying safe and healthy is the most important thing right now.

The next topic we're going to look at is parallel and perpendicular lines if you feel like looking ahead at the material in the textbook.  When we left school back in March we were actually ahead of schedule so there is no rush to get ahead of ourselves.

Stay safe and enjoy the spring weather!

Hello Grade 6!  Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe!

Hopefully everyone got a chance to try out the questions from last week.

I've attached a copy of the Grade 6 Workbook that we use in class.

Unit 5 Lesson 7 Page #68 is a good activity that goes along with the unit on percents that we are doing.

Hopefully you can try it out this week.

Don't get stressed out about any of the work that you are doing.  Work at your own pace and don't worry about making mistakes.  That's part of learning.  And don't worry about not understanding all the material completely.  When we get back to school in September we'll go over everything that we have missed.

Stay safe and enjoy the Spring weather!

Hello Grade 5!  Hope everyone is well.

I've attached an answer key for the questions from last week.

A good activity this week that you try is from the Grade 5 Workbook. I've attached it to this note.

Unit 5 Lesson 1 Page 68 is a lesson that deals with equivalent fractions.

Another activity that you can do each week is practice your multiplication facts.  Practice makes permanent!

Hopefully you get a chance to try out the questions but if you can't don't stress about it.  Again, don't worry about making mistakes, that's part of learning.

We're going to go over any material that we may miss this spring when we get back to classes in the fall.

Stay safe and enjoy the nice spring weather!

YouTube is also a great resource if anyone gets stuck on a math topic or question.

A YouTube channel that I find very helpful for math explainations is "Mathantics".

Stay safe everyone!

Hello Grade 8!  Hope everyone is well!

I've included an attachment with the textbook that we use in class if you don't have your book.

When we were last at school we had started working on rates.  I'll give you some questions you can try to get a better understanding of rates.

Here are some questions you can try to get started.

Unit 5.9 Page 298 #4 -10

Give them a try and see how you do.  Don't stress about them.  If you stuck on some questions that's not a problem.  Just work at your own pace.  Don't forget you can check your answers in the back of your textbooks.

This is a good resource to use also if you get stuck on a question.

Don't worry about making mistakes either, that's part of learning.  This home learning is all new to us so don't get worried  about doing the questions and take your time.

Hopefully we'll see each other soon.

Hello Grade 7!  Hope everyone is well!

I've included an attachment with the textbook that we use in class if you don't have your book.

When we were last at school we were working with triangles and parallelograms.  I'll give you some questions you can try just to refresh your memories.  Sometime next week I'll send out the quiz we were going to write with the answers included and you can try it out if you feel like it to see how you  are doing.

Here are some questions you can try to get started.

Unit 4.4  Page 145 #1, 2, 5, 11

Unit 4.3  Page #1, 2, 6, 10

Give them a try, see how you can do.  These questions should be a good review.  The answers are in the textbook also if you want to check them.  I've also attached the formula sheet that we used in class.

This is a good resource to use also if you get stuck on a question.
