Due Date:
This week we will start the Measurement Unit and look at calendar time and telling time on digital and analog clocks. I am posting these lessons in the image gallery for anyone who does not have a book.
In Lesson 1 you are introduced to a new concept - writing dates in metric notation. Some key things to remember are 1. Go from big to small - year, month, day; and 2. Always use 2 digits for each section, so if the month is February use 02 not just 2.
For Lessons 2 and 3, here is a link to a site which explains telling time on a clock and has some good activities. You can skip the intro if you want, and just click on Lessons at the bottom, and then it will bring up a list and click on Time. http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/me5l/html/Math5.html?launch=true
Try a few of the questions which go with each of the lessons in the book.
